Scope of Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Cycle Counter to support the accuracy and integrity of inventory at our Woodland, CA manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in optimizing inventory processes. The successful candidate will conduct routine cycle counts, analyze discrepancies, and collaborate with the Materials Manager and Inventory Control Administrator to support accurate inventory management and component availability.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Cycle Counting & Inventory Accuracy
• Conduct scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in accordance with company policy. • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system data; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. • Assist in the execution of full physical inventories, including year-end audits. • Maintain accurate tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within the ERP system (SAP). • Enter and verify inventory transactions in SAP; maintain up-to-date and precise system records. Reporting & Communication
• Proactively alert the Planning Team when inventory levels for critical components are low or at risk. • Document inventory findings and maintain logs for compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between Materials, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to maintain operational alignment. • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and provide input to prevent recurring inventory issues. • Support Procurement and Planning with accurate inventory data to minimize shortages and avoid overstock. Process Improvement
• Contribute to the development and refinement of inventory control procedures aligned with lean manufacturing and best practices. • Recommend process enhancements to improve inventory turnover, minimize waste, and support production efficiency, including E&D disposal processes.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting. • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (experience with SAP and/or QAD highly preferred). • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, basic analysis) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in handling large volumes of inventory data. • Effective written and verbal communication skills; capable of working across departments. • Strong time management and prioritization skills. • Ability to identify trends, analyze root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. • Familiarity with inventory KPIs (cycle count accuracy, inventory turns, etc.). • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability • Strong sense of ownership and accountability • Team collaboration and adaptability • Clear and proactive communicator.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s Watts/Ames manufacturing location in Woodland, CA. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Physical Requirements

Pay Range
The expected hourly range for this position is $22.35 - $25.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
