Job Description Summary Organization's Summary Statement: The Office of Human Resource Management invites applicants to apply for a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. The Human Resources Associate II will assist with the day-to-day operations of the human resources office. The position will report to the Associate Director.
Salary: $48,138 - $55,000

Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support to Human Resources staff and management. • Oversee bi-weekly payroll check distribution process, • Process payments to vendors through Workday and other university systems. • Answer telephone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries regarding HR services and procedures. • Maintain confidential employee personnel files and electronic records. • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new employees. • Maintain HR databases and enter employee information accurately. • Process personnel actions, employment forms, and other HR documentation. • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment inventory. • Assist with payroll-related documentation and recordkeeping. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Preferences): • One to three years of administrative or office support experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Experience with HR information systems i. e. Workday and electronic record management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of office administration and records management. • Understanding of human resources practices and procedures. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Professional customer service and interpersonal skills
Physical Demands: • May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at desk. • May require lifting. • Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally. • Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Four years clerical experience, three years of which must have involved the application of human resources policies and procedures.
OTHER: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures; of basic mathematics including ratios and percentages; of modern office practices, procedures, systems, and equipment. Skill in the use of keyboards, automated systems, computers, and related software to facilitate assigned work; in organizing and executing multiple assignments under specific time constraints. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to understand and interpret human resources policies and procedures; to provide guidance and training to others; to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure; to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact; to accurately perform mathematical computations; to operate standard office equipment.
OTHER: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
