About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems. • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions. • Respond to maintenance service requests and emergency repair situations in a timely manner. • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to identify deficiencies and safety concerns. • Operate and maintain facility equipment including pumps, motors, compressors, generators, and building automation systems. • Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, installations, and construction projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documents. • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during maintenance activities and special projects. • Train and mentor Facility Technician I personnel as needed. • Support emergency response activities and participate in on-call rotations when required. Qualifications Education
• High school diploma or GED required. • Technical school certification, trade school education, or associate degree in a maintenance-related field preferred. Experience
• 3–5 years of facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, or building operations experience. • Experience working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems. • Experience troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment independently. Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance practices and building systems. • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications. Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and access confined spaces. • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery. Working Conditions
• May require overtime, weekend work, holiday coverage, and on-call responsibilities. • Exposure to electrical systems, mechanical equipment, noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Preferred Certifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. • EPA 608 Certification. • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trade certifications. • First Aid/CPR Certification. • Forklift or aerial lift certification (if applicable).
