Role Overview This role is within the Close & Reporting team and will be responsible for the delivery of Management and Financial accounts for our global entities. The role is part of the team that has responsibility for key revenue, intercompany and Balance Sheet reconciliation tasks which are essential for the completeness and accuracy of our month end close, management accounts and annual financial statements, with significant emphasis on working to the month-end timetable, following a standard process and adhering to financial controls framework. Your role will focus on one or two of the team’s areas of responsibility with the ability to rotate to other areas. Over time the scope and size of the team will increase providing further scope to develop skills and expertise. Once a permanent employee’s probation period is complete and they are demonstrating satisfactory performance there is the opportunity to be sponsored by TP ICAP to study for an accounting qualification.

Team Responsibilities Revenue

• Preparation of daily revenue reporting for all divisions, regions and categories, including any revenue adjustments that may be required • End to end revenue oversight of all system hand-offs and reconciliation and completing the final reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy in our finance system • As the business adapts to a new target operating model the role will evolve to global oversight with a requirement to provide assurance on the overall revenue process. • Processing broker requests for revenue sharing within month end deadline

Intercompany

• Intercompany management including current accounts, loan accounts and dividends ensuring transactions are linked to underlying agreements/documentation, and are recorded by both parties

• Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries in the GL including intercompany recharges, prepayments and accruals, where required

• Perform the monthly confirmation process with counterparties and resolving any mismatches and posting entries as required • Monitor netting process and raise payments to settle intercompany balances as per Group policy

Bank reconciliations

• Preparing daily bank reconciliations for your allocated bank accounts in Kyriba for the Group Treasury team to perform liquidity and foreign currency management • Create the month end bank reconciliation in Trintech to support the bank balance in the monthly management accounts, processing any journals that are required • Investigate all reconciling items and identify transactions that are timing differences, mis postings, or transactions that require posting e.g. bank charges or interest

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for your allocated accounts in Trintech as per the month end timetable • Ensure all reconciling items are validated and attach supporting documentation for the entry and balance and sufficient commentary is required to enable the reviewer to understand and approve the reconciliation. • Where required, identify any corrections, prepare the journal and post in accordance with the journal policy.

Overall

• Ensure activities for legal entities are closed in line with TP ICAP accounting close deadlines. • Tasks are prepared in accordance with IFRS, local GAAP, internal guidelines, group accounting policies, processes and controls. • Identify improvements to existing processes working collaboratively with the Close & Reporting team as well as the wider Finance teams. • For half year and year end support the external audit queries and provide samples within the auditor’s deadline, equally support any internal audits that may take place. • As needed, undertake any other reasonable duties as required within this role and to support the wider team.

Experience / Competences

Essential

• Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience in similar finance roles • Team player who works well in a team and can foster good relationships with stakeholders and wider finance team • Experience of supporting stakeholders, managing their expectations and delivering good quality outputs consistently • Possess personal organisation skills including multi-tasking, prioritisation and delivery • Good written and oral communication skills • Self-motivated, resilient and goal orientated • Ability to work with large data sets and experience in implementing solutions • Knowledge of what a good control environment looks like. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired

• Ability to react to changing requirements and adjust process and approach. • Skilled in applications such as Oracle, Excel, Trintech, OneStream and Kyriba. • Skilled in system or process improvements.
