What You Will Do: The Fabrication technician works in Lamination, Trim, Scrap or BSA departments. The associate may work in one or more departments. This includes, but is not limited to cutting product, compressing, convoluting, laminating, trimming, cleaning up, product management, material handler/forklift driver, and more. Performs all of these responsibilities while creating a safe work environment for him/her and all other technicians
What You Will Need: Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time.
• Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
• Lead by example, representing the company’s mission, vision, and values, and promoting a positive environment.
• Maintains high quality, efficient operation of product and equipment.
• Assists with other tasks associated with mattress fabrication.
• Move materials and/or mattresses between stations using pallet jacks and/or forklift.
• Maintain and clean assigned work area.
• Perform quality inspections at every step in the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Trained to use inventory management scanners.
• Participate in inventory.
• Learn and carry outlined processes per procedures.
• Can assist in providing training to other associates while following outlined processes and procedures.
