About this role
As our Senior Operations Manager, you will lead 1st line operations for Takeaway.com Payments B.V., a DNB-regulated payment institution embedded within the Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) group. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Operations to oversee our intra-group outsourcing model. You will champion a customer-centric approach by ensuring checkout, payment, and payout lifecycles run smoothly for millions of users.
Through close teamwork to deliver compliant, high-performing processes, you will manage SLA adherence and transaction monitoring. You will care for our regulatory ecosystem while helping us deliver operational excellence at tech-company speed.
These are some of the key components to the position
• Lead 1st line compliance operations, ensuring absolute adherence to DNB requirements and JET policies. • Oversee and monitor the intra-group SLA with JET, driving excellence in service delivery. • Manage transaction monitoring systems to identify, escalate, and resolve risks in line with AML/CFT rules. • Translate new regulations (DORA, PSD3, AMLD6) into robust, real-world operational processes. • Supervise payout operations, ensuring all activities meet strict internal controls and regulatory standards. • Own, track, and progress key operational milestones within the Annual Compliance Plan. • Support internal and external audits by maintaining comprehensive, audit-ready records and document systems. • Cultivate highly collaborative relationships across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Product, and external regulators.
What will you bring to the team?
• Senior-level operational experience managing compliance, payments, or regulated operations within a PSP, EMI, or regulated banking environment. • Deep, authoritative knowledge of 1st line compliance, including transaction monitoring, AML/CFT, KYC, and sanctions. • Proven history of leading and delivering complex change management, DORA, or systems implementation projects in a regulated landscape. • Strong capability to develop an understanding of our internal and external partners to govern outsourced, SLA-backed operational models. • Solid familiarity with DNB/AFM supervision and frameworks (PSD2, DORA, AMLD), or a demonstrated capacity to master them rapidly. • Data-driven approach with a track record of building and managing operational KPIs, metrics, and risk dashboards. • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, easily bridging technical teams, legal advisors, and executive leaders. • Fluent communication skills in English, with Dutch language proficiency representing a strong advantage in our regulatory landscape.
