St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to lead specialist engagement, doctor recruitment and strategic growth initiatives across one of Queensland’s most respected private hospitals.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned relationship-builder who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and can confidently engage with specialists, practice managers, GPs and senior health leaders.

Reporting to the State Business Development Manager and working closely with the General Manager, you will play a critical role in growth key specialty services, strengthening referral pathways and supporting the recruitment and retention of Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs).

About the role

As Business Development Manager, you will:

• Drive specialty growth strategies aligned to the hospital’s strategic priorities

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with specialist doctors, VMOs, practice managers and referring GPs

• Identify, recruit and onboard new specialists to support service growth.

• Analyse market opportunities, referral patterns and business performance data to identity growth opportunities

• Contribute to the development of business cases and strategic growth initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes

• Lead doctor engagement activities, education events, and referral development programs

• Partner with hospital leadership and marketing teams to execute business development and marketing strategies

• Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through CRM and business intelligence reporting

About you:

You are an experienced commercial professional with a proven ability to build credibility in specialist healthcare environments.

You will ideally bring:

• Significant experience in healthcare business development, clinical network development, healthcare sales or hospital engagement.

• A demonstrated track record of influencing and building relationships with specialists, surgeons, physicians and referrers.

• Strong communication acumen with experience developing business cases and growth strategies.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation and negotiation skills.

• Experience working autonomously while partnering effectively with executive leaders.

• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution.

• Experience within private hospitals, healthcare services or specialist healthcare networks will be highly regarded.

• Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Health or a related discipline are desirable.
