YOU As a Floater/ Material Handler, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials throughout the departments of Production and Warehouse. This position works 8 hr. shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) You will be responsible for the flow of material in and out multiple departments. You will be responsible for picking and staging materials for production. You will be responsible for accurately scanning, returning, and loading products in designated racks. Which includes checking and ensuring that all counts are correct on raw and finished goods. (60%)
You will be responsible for filling in when required as Back-up packer on production lines and setting up autofill and manual filling assignments for production. (35%)
You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks onto the docks. (5 %)
Additional Contributions You support the team by taking on other assigned duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to contribute wherever required. Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
• Problem-Solving- In this position, there will be occasions where you must make on-the-spot decisions. • 6 months-Forklift/Reach- truck experience • Scanner usage and knowledge. (SAP) • Warehouse handling experience • Pick and pack from picking lists. • UPS package preparation. • Production of high-speed line exposure (some experience may be helpful)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Works around moving mechanical parts. Noise levels can be loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions. Exposure to smells and dust from Chemical mixing procedures. There is PPE provided.
TRAVEL REQUIRED This job requires no domestic travel.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is in West Chicago, IL.
RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
PAY $18.99 - $28.51 / hour
