Position Objective/Purpose: Supply the necessary tooling to Vipros/Laser, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Haas Router, and Thermwood machines, and manage tooling according to inventory and by system for efficient model changeovers and optimized setup time. Develop and execute a strategic plan to support and continuously improve knowledge, skills, and the learning environment in a mid-sized, high-mix multinational engineering and manufacturing organization.

Authorities: Refer to FMI-143 for individual standard operating procedures related to management system authorities/responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities: • Review dispatch at the beginning and end of shifts, identifying each order to be closed using the whiteboard as a work tool. • Review the condition of the tool, fixtures, and measuring equipment at the beginning and end of shifts. • Supply tools to Vipros/Laser, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Haas Router, and Thermwood machines, and secondary operations according to the production plan. • Mount tools in holders and adjust their height. • Maintain, control, and organize tool and fixture stock/inventory. • Tool maintenance, sharpening, and repair. • Replace damaged tools and generate requisitions if necessary. • TOGU II machine maintenance (Stamping).

Competencies and skills: Weighting/Level: (1-Basic, 2-Intermediate, 3-Advanced, 4-Specialized) • Completed technical or high school diploma. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the tooling area or similar position. • Basic Office suite management • Equipment management: TOGU II (Stamping) • Tool knowledge on Vipros/Laser AMADA machines, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Haas Router, and Thermwood • Knowledge of measuring tools: Vernier calipers, tape measure, plug gauge, ring gauge, and micrometer • Knowledge of the SHVWIP system • Drawing interpretation
