The Opportunity
South Bow is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the development and execution of major energy infrastructure projects. This role will provide technical leadership across project engineering, facilities design, regulatory support, permitting, construction readiness, and project execution activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, engineering contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are developed and delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives.

What You'll Do
Project Engineering & Technical Leadership
• Provide engineering leadership and technical guidance throughout project development and execution.
• Support engineering activities from concept development through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
• Review, coordinate, and oversee engineering deliverables prepared by engineering contractors and consultants.
• Ensure technical solutions are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives.
Major Project Execution
• Support execution planning, project readiness assessments, and constructability reviews.
• Collaborate with project controls, supply chain, land, environmental, and construction teams to advance project milestones.
• Monitor technical risks, identify mitigation strategies, and support project decision-making.
• Contribute to cost estimates, schedules, forecasting, and execution plans.
Regulatory & Permitting Support
• Support regulatory applications, permitting activities, and technical submissions.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and subject matter experts as required.
• Ensure engineering activities meet applicable regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and corporate governance expectations.
• Assist with responses to regulatory information requests and technical inquiries.
Facilities Engineering
• Support the design and execution of pipeline, pump station, terminal, and related facilities infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and technical assurance processes.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness planning.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical updates and recommendations to project leadership.
• Support continuous improvement, lessons learned, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in engineering and project execution within the energy, pipeline, facilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated experience supporting major capital projects through design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of project delivery processes, engineering management, and technical governance.
• Experience working with engineering contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory and permitting requirements applicable to major infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with pipeline, facilities, midstream, or large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting projects through regulatory approvals and final investment decision (FID).
• Familiarity with project controls, risk management, and capital project governance.
• Experience participating in construction planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset.
