The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer with expertise in .NET Core to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable applications while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices in software development.
What You’ll Do
• Technical Leadership: Lead the architecture, design, and development of applications using .NET Core, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. • Team Management: Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. • Project Coordination: Collaborate with product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • System Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems, including both front-end and back-end components. • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and deployment processes. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. • Research & Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and new technologies to enhance product offerings. • Problem Solving: Analyse and troubleshoot complex software issues, providing timely resolutions and ensuring minimal impact on the user experience. • AI Capabilities: Design and implement AI enabled features and services such as agentic workflows, automation, search, or chat assistants. Integrate AI/ML services and models into backend services via APIs using secure and scalable patterns-enabled features and services
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 12+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET core, C#, WEB API, MS SQL, react, LLMs, Elastic Search • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS). • Experience with database technologies, both SQL (e.g., SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework). • Proven experience in product-based companies, delivering scalable and customer-centric solutions. • Experience with Elasticsearch, including knowledge of data modelling, querying, and performance optimization. • Proven experience in AI based Productivity tools: code conversion/refactoring, test generation with coverage thresholds, defect clustering, changelog summarization, architectural blueprints. Experience in Spec Driven Development framework like GitHub spec Kit/Agent OS etc. • Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using Azure/Amazon web Services. • Build multi-step agentic workflows with tool calling, orchestration logic, and contextual reasoning. • Implement short-term and long-term conversation memory architectures & design session handling and context persistence for conversational AI systems. • Develop reusable orchestration pipelines for AI-driven automation & monitor AI application performance including latency, token usage, hallucination rates, and response quality. • Implement observability frameworks, logging, tracing, and feedback loops for AI systems. • Tracks industry and application trends and relates these to planning current and future IT needs • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira). • Excellent problem-solving skills in Identify problem areas and perform root cause analysis of architectural design and solutions and provide relevant solutions to the problem • Collaborate with enterprise architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. • Develop and improve NLP and Conversational AI models for chatbot and voice bot applications. • Build machine learning models using classical ML techniques (Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, etc.). • Ensure best practices in security, governance, version control, and CI/CD • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
