[What the role is] The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment. [What you will be working on] You will play a major role in administering building regulations and developing new strategies that will shape a future-ready Built Environment Sector. You will be responsible for:
• Reviewing/developing strategies and policies in relation to the Building Control (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations,
• Enhancing processes and managing operations under the BC (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations; which includes facilitating a pro-business environment, which include IT system development and working closely with related agencies.
• Approving submissions on building plans including the designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility;
[What we are looking for]
• A degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in consultancy and design
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a team and possess eagerness to learn
• Motivated and fast learner
• Candidates who possess professional certification, or strong technical/BIM knowledge will be an advantage
