[What the role is] Lecturer (Information Technology) / School of Informatics & IT [What you will be working on]
• Conduct lessons (Face-to-Face and Online) to full-time and part-time students and carry out all responsibilities related to the teaching and learning. Lessons may be scheduled during the day or evening or weekends. • Supervise and develop student capabilities in project work (including e-learning and self-directed learning). • Design and facilitate active, experiential and project-based learning experiences that leverage AI tools, intelligent agents and automation technologies. • Supervise and develop student capabilities in project work, including industry-sponsored projects, interdisciplinary projects, competitions, hackathons and innovation challenges. • Assess and evaluate student assignments and their academic performances. • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to students on course content and assignments. • Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to support students' academic, professional and personal development.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Coach and mentor students to support their learning.
• Participate in curriculum development, subject review, assessment design and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure curriculum relevance and industry alignment.
• Contribute to applied research, innovation initiatives, outreach activities and strategic projects undertaken by the school. • Adhere to the Polytechnic's policies, procedures and quality assurance requirements governing teaching and academic conduct.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related computing discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in software engineering, AI-enabled applications, cloud technologies, data engineering, digital product development or related fields.
• Proficient in software development using modern programming languages, frameworks and development tools
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• o AI-Driven Software Development • o AI Agents and Intelligent Automation • o System Design and Architecture • o Full-Stack Application Development • o Cloud Application Development • o Machine Learning Applications • o DevOps or AIOps • Familiar with modern software engineering practices, including Agile development, version control, software testing and systems integration
• Passion and genuine interest in teaching, mentoring and developing youth and adult learners.
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with industry partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional certifications in Agile, DevOps, AIOps, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering will be an advantage.
