Join the Scripps Howard Foundation as a Campaign Manager and lead the charge in creating meaningful community impact through strategic fundraising initiatives. This role is your opportunity to drive growth, build powerful campaigns, and make a real difference in the communities we serve. As the primary project owner for Community Impact Campaigns, you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to achieve ambitious fundraising goals while collaborating with passionate teams across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Develop and implement overall fundraising campaign strategy from planning through execution and evaluation • Coordinate community fundraising efforts to support both SHF strategic objectives and company-wide strategy • Collaborate with marketing and communications to design and implement strategies to increase donor acquisition • Work as an active member of the development team to align donor acquisition efforts with donor engagement and retention strategies • In partnership with local markets plan, design, promote and execute fundraising aspects of community impact and disaster relief campaigns • Define and monitor key metrics to assess performance and guide strategy • Achieve or exceed campaign fundraising goals • Recommend strategic use of sponsorships and grants to enhance campaign effectiveness • Recommend and manage matching grant opportunities • Ensure proper use of SHF branding throughout campaign materials and communications • Support national disaster relief campaign facilitation as needed • Monitor and share campaign data analysis with SHF Leadership Team and other key stakeholders • Oversee execution, promotion, utilization tracking, and reporting for employee matching and volunteer grants and market community fund grants • Ensure responsible use of allocated budget for assigned initiatives, adhering to established policies • Assist with the successful execution of the annual "If You Give a Child a Book …" campaign, contributing to strategy, logistics, and implementation as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred • Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Proven success in building fundraising campaigns and working collaboratively preferred • Driven by philanthropic work and dedicated to maximizing community impact • Energetic self-starter with the ability to manage multifaceted projects and a capacity to perform well in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment • Ability to anticipate needs, resolve problems in a timely manner, and adapt strategies to meet diverse markets • Strong project management skills and the ability to turn ideas and concepts into tangible deliverables that meet goals and increase impact • Experience in monitoring and communicating dynamic project factors such as deadlines, budget and scope to ensure targets are achieved • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation skills • Strategic thinker who is comfortable building relationships inside and outside of the Fund/Foundation and company • Ability to create targeted and compelling communications that align with campaign goals and enhance donor engagement • Ability to identify and work through challenges, underscored by strong judgment and emotional intelligence • Self-motivated and organized • Experience with fundraising/donor management software • Thrives in a collaborative environment
