Diagnostic Imaging RN Lead
Job Description The Diagnostic Imaging Nurse Specialist will perform at a competent level of nursing practice and according to the appropriate standards of practice for the area. Coordinates patient care and service through a multidisciplinary team approach. Organizes the daily operation of the team and following up to be certain that the work is accomplished. Creates an environment of caring and concern for patients and staff members according to the Customer Service principles. This position reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Hospital Manager with oversight from nursing leadership.
Department: Radiology Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week required Required: ADN Degree, IL Registered Nurse, PASL, ACLS, CRN Pay: based on experience, starting at $39.12
Responsibilities Assists in identifying learning needs of staff on the team and works in conjunction with management and Clinical education to initiate and develop educational programs to ensure competency., Assures all new employees are appropriately oriented and trained. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies., Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to address issues related to patient population through the process of mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision-making., Collaborate with imaging modality technical specialists to ensure nursing staff follows best practices for imaging safety. , Communicates patient care issues and concerns in an appropriate forum., Coordinates daily work and assignments of nursing staff., Ensures the availability of supplies needed., Evaluates other team member as assigned using established criteria and goals, Participates in peer review process., Initiates and provides guidance for development and revision of department policies and/or standard work related to nursing care provided in the department., Interacts with coworkers to assure a smooth flow of patients., Interacts with coworkers to assure a smooth flow of patients., Participates, develops and implements performance and/or quality improvement initiatives., Performs RN duties as defined in the RN job description., Provides expertise to the imaging staff in regard to patient care., Provides guidance and support to those who plan and administer nursing care., Researches best practice models for provision of nursing care in radiological services., Serves as a resource to clinical staff and management for nursing skills and practice. Evaluates staff performance of clinical nursing skills and best practice for patient care.
