Casual

SCHADS Level 4

Why this role matters

Across the Perth CBD, many adults face real and immediate risks linked to alcohol and other drug use. This role is about showing up for people in those moments, meeting them on the street, in distress or when they need someone to listen and guide them toward safety. About the role The Assertive Outreach Support Worker provides nightly roving outreach across the Perth CBD, engaging with adults who may be intoxicated, distressed or disconnected from support. The role also supports hospital diversion work across the East Metro health area, partnering with hospital teams to assist individuals presenting with concerns related to alcohol and other drug use.

This is a casual position, subject to business needs. The role works a set roster each fortnight, including after‑hours shifts, with some overnight and weekend work. Casual shifts will be offered to the successful candidate as required. This role reports to the Support Services Team Leader. Pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4 Award.
