About this role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Process Technician to join our Engineering team and provide technical support to our molding manufacturing operations on the weekend shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). This position plays a critical role in ensuring production equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes operate efficiently while driving continuous improvement, quality, and operational excellence. As a Manufacturing Process Technician, you will:
• Support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes alongside the Engineering team. • Provide technical support to production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. • Proactively maintain molds, mandrels, tooling, and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. • Work closely with Production Planning and Shift Leaders to reduce downtime and improve operational performance. • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions in accordance with the Repligen Quality Management System. • Participate in investigations relating to customer complaints, quality issues, and process deviations. • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop fixtures, jigs, tooling, and process improvements that increase productivity and product quality. • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance process capability. • Ensure full compliance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, quality standards, and Environmental, Health & Safety policies. • Support additional projects and responsibilities as required to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Science, or a related discipline. • Experience in a Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Production Technician, or similar technical manufacturing role. • Experience working within a manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices, plastics, or another regulated industry. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Self-motivated with a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
