ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to an R&D Candidate Experience Senior Manager, the Manager, Candidate Experience serves as a strategic talent advisor responsible for delivering end-to-end hiring solutions across designated business areas.
This role partners closely with business leaders, People Experience (PX), and Candidate Experience colleagues to develop and execute talent strategies that attract, assess, and secure top talent. The incumbent leads full-cycle recruitment, including senior-level searches, develops proactive talent pipelines, provides market intelligence and hiring insights, and influences talent decisions that advance business objectives.
As a trusted consultant, the Manager, Candidate Experience drives recruiting excellence while ensuring alignment with global processes, compliance standards, and best practices. In addition to managing complex searches, this role leads talent acquisition initiatives, mentors colleagues, and contributes to the continuous evolution of recruiting strategies, capabilities, and candidate experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Talent Partnership
• Develop a deep understanding of the business, organizational priorities, and talent needs within assigned client groups. • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with business leaders and PX colleagues to influence hiring decisions and shape talent strategies. • Serve as a credible and strategic talent advisor, providing guidance on hiring approaches, market trends, talent availability, and competitive intelligence. • Collaborate cross-functionally with PX, Compensation, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and compliance throughout the hiring process.
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
• Lead full-cycle recruitment including those for complex, senior-level, and critical positions across the organization. • Design and execute innovative sourcing and attraction strategies to identify and engage top talent. • Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines for key skill areas and future hiring needs. • Drive exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Market Intelligence & Offer Strategy
• Leverage knowledge of the external talent market to develop inclusive recruiting strategies and diverse talent pipelines. • Provide market insights and talent intelligence that inform hiring decisions, organizational planning, and recruiting practices. • Lead complex offer development and negotiation discussions, including compensation analysis, long-term incentive (LTI) interpretation, relocation considerations, and creative offer strategies to secure top talent. • Partner with Compensation and PX stakeholders to develop competitive and innovative solutions for attracting and retaining candidates.
Leadership & Project Management
• Independently lead strategic recruitment initiatives and candidate experience projects • Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting processes, improve stakeholder experiences, and drive operational excellence. • Mentor, coach, and support recruiters and junior team members, fostering capability development and knowledge sharing. • Influence and contribute to broader Candidate Experience programs, initiatives, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of recruiting experience • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment, including senior-level and specialized talent searches. • Strong understanding of talent market dynamics and ability to develop strategic talent mapping and pipelining initiatives. • Proven ability to proactively source and engage highly competitive talent. • Experience partnering with PX and business leaders to develop and execute complex talent acquisition strategies. • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Excellent consultative, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills. • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance recruiting effectiveness, improve operational efficiency, generate talent insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated success recruiting critical talent within R&D/Scientific and Medical functions, with expertise in navigating complex talent markets. • Demonstrated expertise in direct sourcing and passive candidate engagement strategies. • Experience advising stakeholders on compensation, offer development, and competitive talent market trends. • Experience working within Workday and HiredScore • Proven ability to lead talent acquisition initiatives, drive change, and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,200.00 to $165,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
