About this role
Responsibilities 1. Communications (corporate, external, and internal communications)
• Define and implement the corporate communications strategy in line with Group and APAC priorities. • Lead corporate reputation, and narrative across media, external stakeholders, and internal audiences. • Sponsor, identify and oversee external and executive corporate communications initiatives and opportunities that drive positive perception of Pernod Ricard Thailand’s brands (i.e. Embassies events…), activities and corporate reputation in the industry • Oversee internal communication initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, alignment, and understanding of company strategy, values, and priorities. • Coordinate closely with APAC Communications to ensure consistency of messaging and execution.
2. Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R)
• Drive the local rollout of the Group’s S&R Roadmap, ensuring impactful and measurable initiatives. • Lead priority S&R pillars (e.g. Responsible Consumption, Circularity, Community Engagement) relevant to the local market. • Partner with internal teams to embed S&R into business operations, brand activities, and external engagements. • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders (government, NGOs, embassies, industry bodies) on S&R matters. • Track performance, prepare reports, and share progress internally and externally
3. Public Affairs
• Locally monitor political, regulatory, and policy developments affecting the business and industry (e.g. alcohol policy, advertising regulations, taxation, labelling, trade). APAC will still deliver comprehensive outlooks using their regular sources. • Support the agenda with political decision-makers to protect Pernod Ricard Thailand’s business interests in the short, medium, and long-term. Work closely with TABBA chairman, and members. • Support public affairs strategy development in line with Group and APAC direction. • Support interaction and relationships with government authorities, regulators, industry associations, embassies, and key external stakeholders. • Represent the company in relevant industry forums, advocacy in embassies and contribute to other market players alignment.
4. Legal & Compliance
• Oversee the legal and compliance function with a direct report, covering: • Legal/regulatory compliance • Litigation management • Corporate governance • Risk assessment • Intellectual Property
• Support the business in its daily operations and development, including on appropriate business development.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience: Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in either International Relations, Communications, Public Policy, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields. • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in either communication, public relations, public affairs, corporate affairs • Government relations, advocacy, public policy, political risk analysis, corporate advisory, public administration/government, consultancy experience are advantage • Beverage industry related experience will be Strongly advantageous • An existing network of government and relevant authorities relationship, as well as embassies, trade organizations and private sector are advantage • Excellent command of English. • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders. • Strong analytical and writing skills to monitor and formulate analysis on technical/market issues. • Strategic thinker and problem solver • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. • Strong team player • Experience in a multicultural environment. • Strong business acumen. • Excellent IT skills for research and presentation Desirable
• Knowledge/experience in local media landscape • Knowledge of Thai legislative process • Knowledge/experience in government • An existing network of government and relevant authorities relationship, as well as embassies, trade organizations and private sector. • Thai Native • Management experience. • International education or working experience an asset. • MNC experience a plus
