Application Engineer – Automotive MCU (2027 NCG Campus Hire) Location: Shanghai / Chongqing, China Responsibilities
• Collaborate with leading automotive customers, field application engineers, marketing, and sales teams to understand system requirements and support application development based on NXP automotive MCU solutions. • Participate in the development of embedded software, evaluation platforms, reference designs, application notes, and technical collateral for automotive applications. • Assist customers in debugging, integration, and technical issue analysis related to MCU hardware, software, and automotive systems. • Support technical workshops, customer trainings, and internal knowledge-sharing activities. • Explore and evaluate emerging automotive technologies and application trends, including automotive safety, security, zonal architecture, and vehicle networking. • Work closely with global engineering teams to help customers accelerate development and successfully adopt NXP solutions. • Build technical expertise in automotive microcontrollers, embedded systems, and software platforms through project experience and continuous learning. Basic Requirements
• 2027 graduate in: • Electrical Engineering • Electronics Engineering • Microelectronics • Computer Science • Embedded Systems • Automotive Engineering • Software Engineering • or related disciplines
• Solid fundamentals in embedded systems and programming. • Good problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies. • Good written and verbal English communication skills. • Willingness to travel when required. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas are highly preferred:
• Microcontrollers (MCU), SoC architecture, and on-chip peripherals • Embedded C/C++ software development • RTOS, device drivers, interrupt handling, multi-core systems, or operating systems • Automotive software and standards, including: • AUTOSAR • Functional Safety (ISO 26262) • Automotive Cybersecurity • In-Vehicle Networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Hardware design, debugging, and lab instrumentation • Software development tools such as Git, IDEs, debuggers, or scripting languages (Python preferred) • AI applications in embedded or automotive systems • Technical presentations, competitions, research projects, or open-source contributions What We Look For
