Job Profile EQUIPMENT ENGINEER
Job Description The Equipment Engineer is responsible for innovation and improvement in our injection molding. This is a hands-on position that works collaboratively with our team to define and develop safe and effective manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures, maintenance and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoots equipment/process problems with logical engineering and scientific practice.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs complex research and analysis tasks to determine feasibility of design. • Lead a group of equipment techs to perform daily machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance • Work with MFG and process team on OEE, MTBA, MTBF and Downtime Improvement • Work on machine continuous improvement plan to improve quality performance and yield improvement • Involved in the selection of the appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools and machine • Implements appropriate statistical process controls on key input and process variables. • Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to implement new technology. • Responsible for formulating technical standards for plastic injection molding process, improvement of production process, improvement of product performance and structure, including the compilation of process instructions • Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements. • Work closely with multiple teams, come up with Root cause analysis and improvement plans • Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. • Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values. • Other duties as assigned. • Additional Job Description (for internal candidate view only) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must have ability to work in a team environment with other departments such as Production / Quality / Equipment and others. • Ability to analyze situations and determine logical and reasonable solutions. • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with team members and all levels of the organization. • Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Proven project and time management skills; strong knowledge of mold set-up process. • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Advanced Microsoft Excel. • Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills. • Ability to promote continuous change priorities while achieving desired results. • Demonstrated ability to achieve set goals on time.
