Job Description Summary: The Infrastructure Systems Administrator position is responsible for infrastructure support and oversees overall operations of the systems and services. The Systems Administrators work under general supervision from the Manager, Information Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Interacts with Customers and engineers via phone and email.
• Oversees and owns internal systems including Windows, Linux, Backups, Solarwinds, TruNAS and Hyper-V.
• Administers Remote Desktop Services and Clustering.
• Manage Azure infrastructure including backups and restoration.
• Documents common issues/resolutions creating knowledge databases for the departmental reference.
• Manages Change Request tasks.
• Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviews system and application logs
• Oversees the Implementation, installation, configuration, of new Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and evaluates existing and new Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
• Oversees the application of OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrades administrative tools and utilities. Coordinates with internal staff for baselines and maintenance windows.
• Provides metrics and reports from ticketing systems; keeps management up-to-date on issues; makes recommendations to streamline processes.
• Oversees Solarwinds monitoring, alerts, and reporting.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field along with 4 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills – Experience and solid working knowledge required with the following tools/applications:
• Experience with Server OS’s including Windows and Linux • Experience with Exchange and Active Directory • Experience with Hyper-V networking • Change Management process and CMDBs • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Outlook • Patch Management • Backup Management • Azure Infrastructure • TruNAS Storage
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Microsoft/Linux Systems Administration certifications would be considered a bonus

• Good network diagnostics skills; experience analyzing system and network performance monitoring and data. • Experience with diagnosing network and service issues and follow through to resolution. • Ability to assess issues, prioritize, respond and escalate appropriately. • Ability to multi-task, good time management and ability to prioritize workload. • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team player along with good communication skills (verbal and written)
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Remote work is an option in certain situations.
Working Hours This is a non-exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends, on-call or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. We support a 24/7 call center, work shifts are typically normal core business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, except when maintenance is performed during non-peak after hours.
