JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Utility Line department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Utility Line Technician Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

This announcement is active through July 27, 2026 at 11:59PM and will no longer be listed as of July 28, 2026.The Utility Line Technician Instructor will teach a full range of utility line program coursework with excellence. The ideal candidate also participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

8 years of FT related occupational experience OR 4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in discipline or related discipline OR 2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline. Higher Education / Community College teaching experience preferred.

Expected Start date: Fall Quarter 232-day, 12-month contract Location: Applied Technology Center

• May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses. • A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process. • Hiring process includes passing a background check. • The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
