Job Description:
Teaching & Learning
• Plan, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Digital Health and related disciplines. • Design innovative teaching methodologies incorporating digital technologies and simulation-based learning. • Develop, review, and continuously improve curriculum in accordance with MQA, MOHE, and industry requirements. • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, dissertations, and theses. • Assess student performance and provide timely academic feedback. • Serve as an academic advisor and mentor to students.
Research & Innovation
• Conduct high-quality research aligned with the University's strategic research priorities. • Publish scholarly articles in indexed journals (Scopus/WoS). • Secure internal and external research grants. • Lead multidisciplinary research projects involving healthcare and digital technologies. • Present research findings at national and international conferences. • Promote commercialization and innovation of research outputs.
Academic Leadership
• Lead programme development and curriculum enhancement initiatives. • Mentor junior academic staff and lecturers. • Contribute to academic quality assurance activities and accreditation exercises. • Participate in examination moderation and academic governance committees. • Assist in developing new academic programmes within the School.
Industry & Community Engagement
• Build collaborations with hospitals, healthcare industries, technology providers, and government agencies. • Organise professional development programmes, seminars, workshops, and conferences. • Participate in consultancy projects related to Digital Health. • Contribute to community engagement initiatives promoting digital health literacy.
Administration
• Participate in faculty and university committees. • Prepare academic reports and documentation required by MOHE and MQA. • Support student recruitment, marketing activities, and Open Day events. • Perform administrative duties assigned by the Dean.
Job Requirement:
Education
• PhD in Digital Health, Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or other relevant discipline. • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in related fields.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of academic teaching experience in higher education. • Proven record of curriculum development. • Demonstrated experience supervising postgraduate students. • Strong publication record in reputable indexed journals. • Experience obtaining competitive research grants is an advantage. • Experience collaborating with healthcare institutions and industry partners.
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of digital healthcare technologies. • Understanding of MQA, MOHE, and Malaysian higher education requirements. • Research methodology and statistical analysis skills. • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching platforms. • Excellent presentation and communication skills. • Strong project management and leadership abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. • Excellent report writing and academic writing skills.
