About this role

1) SUMMARY OF DUTIES To attend and treat patients who present to the A&E Services and to identify patient who need further referral and treatment to consultant.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION Main Duties Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.

• To attend all patients.

• Physical examination.

• Investigate to support the diagnosis.

• Consultation and appropriate treatment.

• Referral to Specialist if necessary.

• Admit patient to ward if necessary.

• Fill up the necessary forms to enable patient to seek treatment.

• To attend to all emergency cases in the ward until the arrival of Specialist.

• To do pre-employment Medical Surveillance for the Panel Companies if needed.

• To complete medical reports for patients when required.

• To assist and participate in staff training program if necessary in A&E.

• To participate in health talks and forums if necessary.

• To ensure all inter services task are well communicated and performed together with the spirit of teamwork within the organization and group.

• To report all accident, incidents and hazard to the Management and complete the incident report form for each accident or incident.

• To perform such duties as assigned by the Management from time to time when necessary.

• Further instruction by the Top Management of RSH or KPJ as a whole.

• Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.

• Liaise with the Medical Officer In Charge in the decision making pertaining to the related work activities.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities in the Specific Areas

• Participate in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements.

• Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.

• Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).

• Practices Standard People Practice (SPP) at all times.

• Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.

• Complies with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.

• Carries out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-

- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; - To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; - To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer - To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.

• Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices, and activities at hospitals & companies if and when these programs are implemented.

3) JOB REQUIREMENT

• Must possess at least a Medical Degree or equivalent from recognized institutions.

• Full registration with Malaysian Medical Council.

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate.

• Completed at least 4 years of service with the Government.

• Knowledgeable, flexible, good communication skill.

• Ability to maintain good relationship with all level of staffs, productive.

• Ability to produce accurate and thorough quality of work, resilient/ resourceful under pressure, display confidence, positive thinker, high discipline, cooperative, responsible, reliable, dependable, good leadership, high integrity.
