Job Description:
The Air Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing gateway, cargo, ramp, and ground operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable airline operations. This role will lead operational teams and service providers, manage day-to-day operational performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with aviation safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage daily gateway, cargo, ramp, and flight operations to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. • Monitor operational performance and promptly address disruptions, delays, irregularities, and service failures. • Ensure compliance with airline, airport, and regulatory safety standards, policies, and procedures. • Manage and coordinate with ground handling service providers and other operational partners to meet safety, service, and performance requirements. • Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement. • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of flight and cargo operations. • Develop and implement operational plans, contingency measures, and performance improvement initiatives. • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to operational teams to achieve organizational objectives. • Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in airline, airport, cargo, or ground operations. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity. • Strong knowledge of flight operations, ramp handling, cargo operations, and airport procedures. • Familiarity with International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations and aviation safety standards. • Proven experience in managing operational teams and third-party service providers. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and operationally critical environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools is an advantage. • Available to start on January 2027
