You will be required to work occasional evenings/weekends if necessary. Must have/maintain a valid driver's license - this position requires some use of a government vehicle. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess the ability to design professional-quality graphics and advertising content for use in a variety of mediums, such as flyers, posters, brochures, menus, websites, social media, and more. Must possess current experience using social media and networking platforms and tools, such as Facebook, Instagram. Must possess experience working with the following applications Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft applications. Must have experience interfacing with internal and external customers. Must have experience organizing heavy and varied workloads and assignments to meet deadlines and shifting priorities.
Major DutiesAssists the Marketing Manager in designing, developing, and executing 423d Force Support Squadron brand through messaging, copy, graphical, video, event photography. Develops content for all customer-facing formats, including website and digital/social media. Develops and implements campaigns, promotions, and advertising to increase RAF Alconbury community participation with social and digital media. Designs and executes computer generated visual materials such as visual aids, illustrations, graphics, charts, menus, posters, flyers, logos, pamphlets, brochures, signs, magazines, maps, web pages, and other graphic support required in the effective marketing and publicizing of squadron programs and facilities. Creates marketing and publicity materials for special events and those of a seasonal nature Performs limited market research using focus groups and surveys and provides data to activity managers. Assists with employment of proper publicity tools, including (but not limited to) the FSS website, e-mails, base bulletin, slides, posters, flyers, banners, road signs, monitor ads, the monthly calendar and newsletter, and all social media outlets to effectively advertise facility events and inform the public about program availability.
