The Foundational Goal Strategy team is at the heart of driving Canva’s growth and impact as part of our mission to empower the world to design. We partner across the organisation to tackle our biggest strategic questions, shape long-term opportunities, and ensure we’re focused on the most impactful priorities.

As part of this team, you’ll join a group of problem-solvers who proactively surface new growth opportunities, and thrive on tackling challenges and informing decisions that influence Canva’s growth trajectory. About the Role

This is a high-impact generalist strategy role. You'll work across the full breadth of Canva's strategic landscape — product, growth, GTM, commercials - picking up new problem spaces quickly and delivering structured, actionable recommendations.

You'll thrive here if you bring sharp analytical thinking (from consulting, banking, or product management), a hunger to learn fast, and the ability to translate ambiguity into clarity. We're looking for someone who can operate independently on projects, build trust with senior stakeholders, and bring both rigour and creativity to how Canva thinks about growth.

What you’ll do:

Tackle some of the most complex strategic challenges Canva faces, across the full spectrum of product innovation, market expansion, GTM, commercials, and more.Lead projects to support the development of Canva's near- and long-term strategy, helping shape the growth trajectory of the organisation over the next decadeApproach novel or ambiguous problem statements with a clear, structured methodology to drive clarity and directionProactively identify and evaluate high-impact growth opportunities for Canva, leveraging market trends, internal insights, and competitive intelligenceWork collaboratively with your strategy and data peers across the teamAlign cross-functional teams and senior leaders to prioritise and solve high-impact challengesWhat we're looking for

5-8 years of experience across strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, product management, or product growth - ideally with some experience in a high-growth tech or startup environmentExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to clear recommendationsStrong communicator who can simplify complexity and present confidently to business and technical leaders at all levelsAbility to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across functionsHigh comfort with data-driven decision making and a bias toward rigourSelf-starter with strong collaboration skills who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environmentGenuine curiosity about how products grow and how business models scaleWhat's in it for you?
