The role of Senior Buyer sits within Procurement Operations team in Elekta Business Services and will provide service for all regions with an initial focus on Asia Pacific, EU and TIMEA.
The purpose of the Senior Buyer role is to manage indirect material spend across a number of commodities, focusing on achieving results for quality, cost and on time delivery. The role will involve the deployment of indirect sourcing policies and the day to day management of the electronic purchase sourcing and requisition tools.
Collaborate with the Global Category Managers to align plan and sourcing activities
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business requirements. Lead in the selection of suppliers in compliance with the Elekta sourcing process whilst ensuring selection is robust and fit for purpose Ensure robust supply agreements are in place with key suppliers Negotiation of best practice terms with suppliers. Develop and execute third party sourcing initiatives Reduce and consolidate the approved indirect supplier vendor list. Monitor supplier’s performance cost, quality, delivery, and contract compliance. Implement and manage supplier management meetings as and when required Introduce open book costing and/or competitive tendering where appropriate. Maintain all system parameters and data integrity for Procurement systems. Act as expert for indirect purchasing systems/processes and deliver training on these as and when required Work closely with the key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction and efficiency strategies through to implementation plans with supporting business cases presenting benefits to the business Identify and promote opportunities for business improvement Additional responsibilities cover benchmarking activities in: indirect material spend, supplier consolidation opportunities, identifying market trends, and supply trends.
