About this role
As a Test Engineer you will join the team in Luton to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
You will support the planning, organisation, and execution of development and qualification testing activities for electrical power and propulsion systems. Working within a laboratory and engineering test environment, you will help deliver verification and validation programmes while producing high-quality technical documentation to demonstrate product compliance.

Plan and deliver development and qualification test activities in support of engineering programmesPrepare and execute test setups including instrumentation, test rigs, and data acquisition systemsProduce technical documentation including Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test ReportsSupport Verification & Validation teams in defining and executing appropriate compliance methodsCoordinate testing activities with cross-functional teams including Design, R&D, Manufacturing, and QualitySupport the efficient use of test facilities, equipment, and laboratory resourcesContribute to continuous improvement of test facilities, rigs, processes, and ways of working Required Skills:
Experience supporting development or qualification testing within engineering environmentsHands-on experience working with test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systemsAbility to interpret technical requirements and translate them into structured test activitiesExperience producing technical documentation for verification or qualification testingStrong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activitiesRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, or equivalent hands-on experience within engineering test environmentsDesirable Skills:
Experience testing electrical power systems or propulsion systemsKnowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems to support test rig setupExperience using Dewesoft, DASYLab, or LabVIEWUnderstanding of risk assessment processes and laboratory safety proceduresExperience working within aerospace or highly regulated engineering environments Why join us?
