Location: Lahore, Job Summary: The HR Operations Associate ensures HR and Payroll operations run accurately, on time, and in compliance with internal standards. The role processes employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, maintains data integrity through regular audits, and provides day-to-day payroll support spanning employment verification, vendor and associate ticket resolution, unemployment claims, garnishments, and biweekly payroll processing. As a key execution partner to HR Business Partners, the Associate handles job changes, position updates, org movements, and data corrections, and owns the cost center alignment process. The role also supports job architecture maintenance Responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workday Transaction Processing
• Process job change transactions including promotions, transfers, lateral moves, and demotions based on structured requests submitted through the HR ticketing system (askHR) • Execute termination transactions ensuring correct position outcomes (backfill or close position) are applied upon employee separation • Update Supervisory Organizations and Superior Org hierarchies directed by HR leadership • Process new hire data entry in Workday upon offer acceptance, including position assignment, compensation, supervisory org, and cost center • Enter one-off compensation changes outside of merit cycles including equity adjustments and corrections
Position & Job Architecture Management
• Execute position edits including updates to job profiles and position restrictions in support of open requisitions and active job postings • Create and maintain job profiles in Workday, ensuring accurate mapping to job family, job family group, management level, and FLSA classification • Maintain job architecture integrity across the organization, flagging inconsistencies in job family or profile assignments for review
Cost Center Alignment
• At the time of processing any transfer, manager change, or org movement, confirm whether the employee's cost center requires an update to align with their new manager and supervisory org • Conduct periodic cost center audits to identify and correct misalignments from historical transactions processed outside this role
Data Auditing & Integrity
• Conduct regular audits of Workday data including job families, cost center assignments, position attributes, supervisory org structures, and worker records • Identify and flag discrepancies that could impact HR dashboards, reporting, or downstream system integrations before they escalate • Run standard Workday reports on a scheduled cadence (headcount, open positions, org changes) and distribute to stakeholders as directed
Process & Documentation
• Own SOPs for all transaction types within scope, ensuring documentation is current and accessible • Support the continuous improvement of the askHR intake process, including flagging recurring gaps in HRBP submissions • Support ad hoc data cleanup projects and HR reporting requests as business needs evolve
Payroll Support
• Process employment verification requests and related tickets • Respond to third-party payroll vendor tickets regarding stop payments, Notifications of Change (NOCs), missing paychecks, and similar issues • Complete unemployment claims • Process on-demand checks • Respond to associate payroll inquiries submitted through askHR • Open garnishment tickets • Support biweekly payroll processing as needed, including payroll input, benefit refunds, and running and reviewing reports • Support special projects and tasks that meet departmental and company needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• 1–2 years of experience in HR operational or HRIS support role • Workday experience strongly preferred — familiarity with HCM, position management, supervisory orgs, or job profiles is a significant plus • High attention to detail with a strong sense of data ownership and accountability • Comfortable managing a queue of requests with competing priorities and defined turnaround times • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Able to handle sensitive employee data with discretion and professionalism • Clear written communication skills for coordinating with HRBPs
