About this role

This job will be accepting job applications until the position is filled. Annual Salary: $40,579.50 - $43,426.50 Hourly: $20.81 - $22.27 Department: Police, Public Safety Division: Police Administrative Services FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will schedule appointments, give information to callers, take dictation, and otherwise relieve a small team of employees of clerical work and minor administrative detail.

Examples of Duties:

• Reads and routes incoming mail, attaching appropriate files as needed. • Composes routine correspondence for members of a small section of an office. • Organizes and maintains file system. • Greets scheduled visitors and conducts to appropriate location. • Conducts research and authors statistical reports. • Copies and scans printed materials. • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes. • Orders and maintains supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software. • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute by touch.
