As a member of the Discovery and Preclinical Services Image Analysis team, the Associate Scientist, Image Analysis is responsible for supporting the generation of all quantitative results from various imaging studies. On a study-by-study basis, utilizing internally developed tools, the analyst will work under the supervision of a senior team member (IA study lead) to perform a wide variety of data processing and analysis. Processing tasks may include image orientation and registration, unit conversion, and region of interest definition. The Associate Scientist will communicate with the IA study lead on each study to understand the goals of assigned studies and what is expected to be seen in the imaging data. With support of the IA study lead, the Associate Scientist will be expected to independently troubleshoot any issues with image quality or workflow and escalate as appropriate to find the best solution as they conduct the analysis. The Associate Scientist will generate output materials for each study project which may include images, plots, and spreadsheets. Other duties may include guided internal development tasks, editing or creation of SOPs, and training of new hires.
Key Responsibilities
• Process and quantify image data (PET, SPECT, CT, MR, BLI, CFT) • Analyze image data and associated non-image data to derive study outcomes • Generate summary output materials for clients (images, plots, statistics, reports) • Manage documentation and organize study data in online project repositories • Independently review data and study outputs and communicate findings and anomalies with the study team • Identify workflow pain points and recommend/support implementation of improvements • Automate workflows by creating novel or modifying existing scripting tools • Apply data analysis skill set to effectively utilize in-house developed software (VivoQuant, iPACS) and provide testing and feedback on new features • Provide guided software development (Python, VivoScript) or testing support to improve workflows and new tools (up to 20% of time)

Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)

Experience, Education, and Certifications
• BS/MS in a relevant technical field (e.g. engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry) • 0-1 years of relevant academic or industry experience • Python or other programming experience preferred • Experience with image analysis preferred • English: Fluent
This role is remote. Candidates located in the following states: AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, MA, MO, NH, NJ, NC, PA, UT, VA are preferred.
The annual base salary range for this role is $47,773-$68,247. This range represents the anticipated initial annual salary and may vary depending on several factors including the candidate’s experience and skills and may be subject to market rate adjustment.
