About this role

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Central, is seeking a Sample Coordinator to join our team. The Sample Coordinator will oversee duties relating to receiving, logging in and routing samples to the appropriate laboratory, as well as providing outstanding customer support to assigned clients. This is a fast-paced environment where it is critical to be detail-oriented and accurate with data entered into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). As a Sample Coordinator, the role will also provide technical and operational support to a specific laboratory field technicians while participating in daily logistical duties and is responsible for the management of quality and timely completion of sampling projects.

Sample Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Interaction with clients to ensure that all clients are treated with exceptional customer serviceRemoval of samples from cooler to sort and fill out appropriate documentation regarding sample integrityEnsure all required documentation is thoroughly and completely filled outLearn to recognize short hold samples or those that will go out of hold in order to facilitate logging in and delivery of samples to the lab in an expeditious mannerLearn the appropriate test codes for various matrices of samplesProperly label samples and deliver those with short holding times or rush turnaround timesScan and extract Chains of Custody(COC) and internal Chains of Custody Record (COCR)Must adhere to all procedures, analytical and quality control protocols outlined in SOPs, the QA Manual and project specific requirementsEntering data into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).Data confirmation.Coordinates additional job requests from Project Managers with 3rd-party courier service, and provides consultation regarding proper route adjustments to minimize delay and additional costs.Coordinating and communicating with other departments on project status and problem resolution.Managing timely delivery of bottle orders to clients.Managing bottle supply inventory. Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 2+ years of Previous Customer Support Experience, Preferred 1-2 years of previous experience supporting sample management/logistics or previous laboratory experience

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databasesLogistics (traffic vs. timed deliveries)Good communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProblem solving skillsOptimization of courier routesEstablish rapport and trust; foster high level communication and client support Position Hours: Monday- Friday 8 AM- 5 PM, with Overtime as needed.

Starting Range for Position is $15-17/hr based on experience.
