Schedule: To be determined Location: 2855 North Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32804

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs as ordered by the provider for laboratory testing. • Assumes responsibility for processing laboratory specimens. • Uses appropriate laboratory supplies to ensure testing accuracy. • Performs venipuncture accurately and safely to minimize trauma and discomfort to patients. • Conducts in-house testing including CBC, Urinalysis, Lipid, Hemoglobin A1c, PT/INR, hcG Urine, PSA, and TSH. • Reviews laboratory appointments regularly and identifies errors to reduce inconvenience to patients and office. • Informs patients of delays in services exceeding 30 minutes. Accommodates "work-in/walk-in" patients as ordered by the provider. • Maintains laboratory inventory and equipment, and notifies manager of equipment malfunctions. • Assists the laboratory director to ensure CLIA compliance and follows safety standards according to established guidelines. • Efficiently and accurately enters all lab entries into the computer when preparing requisitions and documents in-house test results in the appropriate system. • Obtains and executes accurate orders for laboratory testing. • Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General knowledge of Medicare, PPO's, and HMO's. [Required] • Current basic computer skills, data input. [Required] • Good business office organizational skills. [Required] • Good verbal and written communication skills. [Required] • Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment. [Required] • Ability to adapt to change. [Required] • Must have basic training in taking vitals, performing electrocardiograms [Required]

Education:

• Associate in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or successful completion of at least a 50-week official us military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of medical laboratory specialist (laboratory technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a clia-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024. [Required]

Field of Study:

• in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Successful completion of at least a 50-week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024. Required

Work Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in phlebotomy [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$15.87 - $25.38 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
