Objectives:
Based on the brand/functional plan, develop an MSL action plan through scientific engagement and teach and coach MSLs. Enhance daily MSL activities to contribute to the creation of scientifically important evidence. As a member of OFIMA (International Medical Affairs), work collectively to make a significant impact on patient care. Enhance the scientific and communicative capabilities of MSLs.

Manage and lead a team of MSL (4 MSL’s)Teach and coach direct reports (MSLs) to deliver scientific engagement wellCreate and articulate medical educational strategyRegional KEE’s management with scientific communicationRegional Speaker Identification and DevelopmentImplement publication strategy through IIS executionsDevelop scientific projects in partnership with health care practitionersSupport regional training for sales team related scienceReinforce brand message through the dissemination of clinical dataComprehensive coverage of medical congresses
Major Responsibilities:
Support MSLs to deliver KEE (Key External Expert) managementCoach MSLs in order to:
Cultivate and develop scientific engagement with Medical Target KEEsUnderstand the needs of developing strategic KEE interaction planning, develop the strategic interaction plan appropriatelyCultivate and maintain relationships with KEEs prior to product launch through Multi-channel communication plan with KEEsProvide KEEs with scientific information and engage in an insightful discussion with themProvide KEEs with scientific and technical support to ensure ophthalmology surgical devices are properly used in clinical settings.Provide accurate TA (Therapeutic Area) knowledge and scientific message to KEEs (non-product)Gain DPOs (Data Point Observations) through scientific discussions
Support MSLs to deliver coordination Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) following new SOP (Contract-Based IIS)Coach MSLs in order to:
Get information of IIS plan with AbbVie products and may proceed further AbbVie process with limited supportUnderstanding AbbVie IIS processTake a role of SME (Subject Matter Expert) in proceeding the IIS processSupport other departments in scientific point of viewProvide scientific information
Active participation and effective communication for product maximization cross functionallyUnderstand Brand Plan and Medical Plan for execution in the fieldProvide feedback from the field after implementation of the functional planIdentify appropriate KEEs for tactical action in Medical plan by understanding the target KEE's profile, treatment policy and/or his/her point of view
One R&D collaboration (as needed)Understand the local action plan and its objectives to support clinical developmentCollaborate with Clinical Development in-field team to accelerate enrollment through scientific interaction
Team ManagementSupport direct reports of MSLs and enhance their individual development plan (career plan)By understanding TA/ Team policy, contribute to the team management in collaboration
IFTe (In Field Team) playbook understanding & executionUnderstand the Medical and other key stakeholders' actions including Commercial inIFTe playbook and execute accordinglyCollaborate in-field as one team and support other team members in Medical

Essential Skills & Abilities/Education:
