About this role

We’re looking for an Engineering Stores Operative to join our team at our Bridgwater site, playing a key role in supporting the engineering function and keeping our operations running smoothly.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team.

As a Engineering Stores Operative, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the engineering stores, ensuring parts and materials are available when the engineering team need them.

You’ll play a crucial role in helping minimise downtime and supporting efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the engineering storesOrder and replenish engineering parts and consumablesLiaise with suppliers to source parts, obtain costings and manage lead timesReceive, check and put away deliveries accuratelyMaintain stock control and ensure stock accuracy at all timesUse SAP to manage ordering, stock and inventory recordsSupport engineers by issuing parts and responding to requirementsWork proactively and independently to keep stores organised and efficient About you:

We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a stores, warehouse or stock control role (ideally within manufacturing or engineering)Confident using systems (SAP or similar would be an advantage)Highly organised with strong attention to detailAble to work independently and use their own initiativeProactive, switched on and able to manage their own workload Desirable

Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environmentForklift licence (training will be provided if required)Experience using SAP or similar systems What we offer:
