This role supports the US CapEx team with the reporting of US income tax consequences for Amazon’s unparalleled global portfolio of assets. The role focuses on US CapEx operations. A successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, great attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment. Experience automating the organization of vast amounts of data into useful information is essential Key job responsibilities • Assist in preparation of Amazon’s US income tax provision, forecast, and tax returns as it relates to US CapEx transactions by analyzing US GAAP reporting, determining book-tax differences, preparing workpapers and technical memorandums, and performing tax law research • Assist in preparation of deferred tax reconciliations; identify drivers of basis differences • Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements which increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of data • Assist in developing analyses, metrics, and narratives to be communicated to tax management, external auditors, and other stakeholders within and outside tax • Assist in coordinating information requests with business partners to ensure accurate and timely inclusion within various tax reporting deliverables • Participate in special projects as assigned
