As a Senior Operations Manager at our Charlton, MA Fulfillment Center, you'll be at the helm of a large-scale operation that delivers for millions of Amazon customers every day. What You'll Do • Own the operation – Take full accountability for budgetary performance, people development, and operational excellence across your functional area (Inbound or Outbound). • Lead and develop leaders – Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable while building the next generation of Amazon leaders. • Drive continuous improvement – Champion Lean initiatives, process innovations, and quality programs that push your team and the FC to exceed business goals. • Deliver a world-class customer experience – Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met or exceeded every single day. • Collaborate cross-functionally – Partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and peer leaders to secure resources, share best practices, and drive site-wide success. • Cultivate ideas – Source and nurture innovative ideas from your team, translating them into actionable improvement plans that raise the bar across the network. • Share best practices – Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the broader network. Additional Job Elements to this hands-on Leadership Role: • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head • Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length • Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily • Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)
