Position #: 082530 Expected Start Date: To be determined; posted until filled Union: SUN Facility: Leader and District Integrated Healthcare Facility City/Town: Leader Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Primary Health Care, the Nurse Practitioner provides primary health care services to the community, including health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive and instructive treatment, and emergency services. Perform health care management, pharmacotherapeutics and therapeutic interventions. Utilizes multiple sources for appropriate health assessment and differential diagnosis of client/patient status. Assess need for ordering/interpreting laboratory, radiology and ultrasound diagnostic tests. Works with the client, at risk youth, family and health providers to develop and implement holistic treatment, interventions and support. Assist individuals, families and communities to increase their knowledge, develop quality initiatives to benefit service delivery models, control and influence of health determinants in the maintenance and improvement of their health status.
