We are recruiting for a Contract full-time Community Participation Support Worker in Barrie. Utilizing a personal outcome-based approach, this position supports people in making informed choices that lead to successful inclusion and participation in community based recreational/leisure activities and work/volunteer placements. This is a one year contract. Compensation Package:

• Work up to 37.5 hours per week; • Minimum starting rate of pay is $29.74 per hour; • 11 statutory holidays are observed; • Confidential Employer paid Employee Assistance program for you and your family members; Following the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period:

• Employer paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, health and dental benefits; • Group RRSP plan with Employer matched benefit up to 5% of gross earnings biweekly; • Employer vacation, sick and personal leave time; Minimum Requirements for this position include:

• Degree or Diploma in developmental services or a closely related field; or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge • One-year recent full-time work experience working in a community setting supporting the integration of people supported through outcome-based approach; • Current valid certificates in First Aid, C.P.R. and N.V.C.I.; • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; • Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft office applications and database administration; • Good interpersonal skills; • Understanding of The Council on Quality and Leadership and Personal Outcome Measures. Special factors of this position:

• Needs of this program require flexibility as support needs are based on people's individual needs and community partner requirements; • Will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as necessary to support individuals in achieving their personal goals • Current valid driver
