As a Cook, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of residents or patients by preparing meals that are safe, nourishing, and enjoyable.
*Qualifications & Requirements*
* Valid Food Handler Certificate (required) * COVID-19 Vaccination (required) * Vulnerable Sector Police Check (required) * 2-Step Tuberculosis (TB) Test or Chest X-Ray (proof required) * Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service is an asset * Ability to understand and accommodate dietary restrictions and texture modifications * Strong knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices * Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as required
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. * Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety protocols. * Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines is an advantage. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. * Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a kitchen setting.
