Mathnasium of Killarney is a leading supplemental math education provider helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Specialist to support local marketing initiatives, community outreach, and digital engagement efforts.
*Position Summary*
The Marketing Specialist will assist with developing and executing marketing campaigns that increase community awareness, generate leads, and support student enrollment growth. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, community engagement, and small business marketing.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Assist in planning and executing local marketing campaigns * Create and schedule content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) * Develop promotional materials, graphics, and community outreach content * Support email marketing initiatives and customer communication campaigns * Monitor and report on social media engagement and campaign performance * Assist with event promotion, school partnerships, and community outreach activities * Help maintain online business profiles and directory listings * Conduct market research and identify local partnership opportunities * Collaborate with Centre Leadership on lead generation and enrollment initiatives
*Qualifications*
* Youth participant eligible under the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Program (high school to age 24) * Alberta resident AND Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident * Interest in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related fields is preferred * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools * Experience with Canva, or similar design software is an asset * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively * Interest in education, community engagement, and youth development
