About the Role: As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee day-to-day site operations while performing hands-on carpentry work. You will lead a crew, coordinate with subcontractors and project managers, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise carpenters and apprentices on site. • Perform framing, finishing, renovations, and general carpentry work. • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Plan daily tasks and coordinate work with the Project Manager. • Ensure work is completed on schedule and meets company quality standards. • Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices. • Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades. • Inspect work for quality and address deficiencies. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site. • Assist with material planning and communicate job site requirements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of carpentry experience. • Previous experience leading a crew or working as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman. • Strong knowledge of residential construction and commercial tenant improvements. • Proficient in both framing and finishing carpentry. • Ability to read blueprints and solve problems independently. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation. • Must have a cell phone for communication. • Own a complete set of carpentry tools.
