RQ11178 - Training Specialist - Senior 1-year 3+ month contract (322 business days) - possible extension ONSITE 5 days - 56 Wellesley St East Toronto Security Level: CRJMC Senior Training Spec for LTC Digital Solutions MUST HAVES: • Experience facilitating adult learning programs using a variety of learning delivery methods. • Developing training materials for all end-users, including guides, facilitation material, online modules, etc. • Highly proficient with the use of e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems and MS Office to prepare training materials. • Knowledge and experience with the following Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. (AODA) • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and presentation skills • Effective consulting skills to engage with all stakeholders with proven track record for building strong working relationships Nice to Have: • Knowledge of adult education theories, principles and practices • 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically in providing training support on systems for Long-Term Care, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Hospital Information Systems (HISs), Clinical Assessment tools, etc. Description: Technical: · Lead and conduct training needs assessment, identifying the needs of all end-users, aligning with OPS Change Management practices. • Design a comprehensive curriculum for the training initiative, including all necessary training resources. • Provide project management expertise to support initiative/alignment to overall project timelines. • Develop training materials for all end-users, including guides, facilitation material, online modules, etc. • Conduct evaluation of training initiative to determine required supports for continuous learning. • Provide expertise with e-learning authoring tools. Relationship Management and Communication: • French proficiency would be beneficial but is not essential. • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholder working groups and project team members to determine training needs/curriculum. • Provide leadership and apply knowledge and understanding of adult education theories, principles and practices. • Liaise with the development and Quality Assurance teams, inclusive of third-party vendor and ministry teams • Present complex information equally well to technical and non-technical audience and act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders during the implementation phase • Participates in the operation's quality assurance testing and review processes • Facilitate and/or support facilitators with classroom sessions (in-person/virtual). • Manage and escalate issues in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner, and provide clear analysis of options regarding how to proceed with problem resolution. Business Knowledge: • Knowledge of Adult Education theories • Knowledge of e-learning software such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc. • Knowledge of AODA and Ontario Design System (ODS) standards.
