**Interview Process: Presentation (Why I'm the best candidate for this role) + followed by questions Must-Haves: • 8+ years of extensive knowledge of P25 radio technology acquired through design and/or support, preferably in a Motorola environment • 5+ years in a supervisory position managing and/or administering a P25 radio network • Hands-on experience with voice and data encryption equipment such as KMF, KMF workstation and KVL • Hands-on experience using Motorola ZoneWatch, the Provisioning Manager software(PM) and Unified Event Manager (UEM) or equivalent • Proficiency in producing various report as they related to the LRC use of the LMRN • Demonstrated project management skills • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and people skills • Ability to produce clear, succinct and fact based recommendations and proposals • Demonstrated knowledge of people skills • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Excellent problem solving skills • Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule, delegate and review the work of subordinates • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships as necessitated by the work • Able to obtain OPP Level 4 Security Clearance Details: Ontario's Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) is one of the largest and most complex public safety radio networks in North America. It covers approximately 750,000 km2 of area. PSRN serves more than 38,000 front-line and emergency responders, such as, police officers, fire service staff, ambulance paramedics, with the radio communications technology, equipment, and other resources that they need to keep Ontarians safe. Responders use this technology to communicate with their dispatchers and one another when responding to emergencies. Emergency Services Telecommunications Division (ESTD) under the Ministry of Solicitor General (SOLGEN), has undertaken an ambitious project to upgrade the PSRN system. The network will be made more modern and compatible with other networks in the country. A supplier has been selected to provide equipment and services. ESTD is executing this large project in collaboration with other ministries and partners, such as, ministry of health, ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Ontario Provincial Police etc. The project is governed by an empowered steering committee comprising leaders from all the stakeholder entities. While detailed planning for the implementation is underway, some work of different project workstreams' is also being executed. Key activities of the project fall under the category of, business analysis, vendor coordination, stakeholder management, training, organization change management, project governance, radio resources acquisition and deployment, network design and design changes, radio site readiness (civil work included), planning and execution of transition from old to new network, service management etc. Responsibilities: Client is looking for a technology architect to develop, recommend, implement and manage the technical architecture (hardware, software, database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.
