*Job Title:* Paralegal (Only Females)
*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented *Paralegal* to support our legal team in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining case files. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Draft, review, and organize legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence * Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations * Assist attorneys in case preparation, including organizing evidence, exhibits, and briefs * Manage and maintain electronic and physical legal files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality * Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions * File documents with courts and other agencies as required * Communicate with clients, witnesses, and outside counsel in a professional and confidential manner * Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely filing and compliance * Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
*Qualifications and Skills:*
* Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field * Paralegal certification * Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a paralegal or in a legal support role * Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formats * Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite * Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills * High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
*Working Conditions:*
* Office-based role; may require occasional overtime or travel for hearings or client meetings * Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate: * Mississauga, ON L5T 2N5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience: * Legal drafting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: * Paralegal license in Ontario (preferred)
