About this role

*Lead Chef | Boutique Brunch Restaurant*

We're looking for an experienced *Lead Chef* who leads by example, takes pride in execution, and enjoys building an organized, efficient kitchen.

This is a hands-on leadership position working alongside two other Lead Chefs across our growing restaurant group. You'll play a key role in maintaining consistency, mentoring cooks, improving systems, and helping us continue to evolve our operations.

We are an independently owned restaurant that values collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement. We are constantly refining recipes, improving workflow, developing SOPs, and introducing seasonal menu features. We want someone who enjoys making a kitchen better, not just working in one.

* Yonge & Eglinton * Yonge & College (new location)

Training may begin at either location depending on operational needs.

*What We're Looking For*

We're looking for someone who:

* Has strong breakfast and egg station experience * Can confidently lead a kitchen during busy brunch services * Is organized, calm, and efficient under pressure * Leads through teamwork rather than ego * Enjoys coaching and developing line cooks * Takes ownership of cleanliness and organization * Wants to grow with a multi-location restaurant

*Responsibilities*

* Lead daily kitchen operations alongside the other Lead Chefs * Execute a high-volume breakfast and egg station * Coordinate prep and ensure production stays on schedule * Guide and support line cooks throughout service * Help develop and implement kitchen SOPs and systems * Train new cooks and reinforce recipes and standards * Perform inventory counts and monitor stock levels * Assist with ordering and minimizing waste * Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen * Participate in scheduled deep cleans * Lift and move inventory, equipment, and deliveries as needed * Work closely with ownership to improve kitchen efficiency and operations

*Qualifications*

* 3+ years experience in a professional kitchen * Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team * Strong breakfast/brunch experience is highly preferred * Excellent egg station skills * Strong organizational and communication skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment * Able to multitask while maintaining quality * Comfortable lifting 50 lb regularly * Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)

*Schedule*

* Weekend availability is required * Must be available for Saturday and Sunday brunch service * Some Friday and Saturday evenings required for private events * Full-time position

*Compensation*

* Generous tip out to BoH ranging from $6-8/hr

Pay: $21.50-$23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate: * Toronto, ON M4S 2A8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience: * Cooking: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification: * Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
