About this role

Job Description We Manage HR is recruiting on behalf of a growing precision manufacturing company in Southeast Calgary. We are seeking a detail-oriented Deburring Technician to join a high-quality CNC machining team.

This role is critical in ensuring machined components meet strict quality standards by removing burrs, sharp edges, and machining marks while maintaining precise dimensions and surface finishes. The successful candidate will play an important role in preparing components for finishing processes such as anodizing, plating, and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and machining marks from CNC machined metal and plastic components.

• Use hand tools such as files, scrapers, deburring knives, abrasive stones, and sandpaper.

• Operate power tools and pneumatic deburring equipment safely and effectively.

• Prepare parts for secondary operations including anodizing, plating, painting, and assembly.

• Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Maintain tight dimensional tolerances while preserving critical features of machined parts.

• Identify and report defects or quality concerns to supervisors or Quality Assurance personnel.

• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage during the finishing process.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company health, safety, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in deburring, finishing, manufacturing, machining, or CNC environments preferred.

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work with precision and maintain close tolerances.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical or vocational certifications are a plus). ? Previous experience in manufacturing or finishing operations is required. ? Strong attention to detail and quality standards. ? Proficiency in the use of finishing tools and equipment. ? Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ? Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. ? Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. · High school diploma or equivalent. · Three years experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. · Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. · Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills. · Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to warehouse operations.
