*Responsibilities*
* Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment * Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections * Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery as needed * Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions * Utilize welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural modifications * Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems * Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement * Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used * Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications * Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus * Automotive service technician qualifications and red seal is preferred * Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is desirable * Knowledge of automotive repair standards and maintenance procedures * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail * Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration * Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred but not required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
